Cisco 79XX - Call Forwarding

Goal

The purpose of this article is to provide instructions on how to use the Call Forward All feature of Cisco 79XX phones.

Resolution/Steps

With Cisco phones you can forward all calls to the following:

  • Another user within the company
  • An outside number
  • Directly to voicemail
  • Directly to company auto attendant

Indicator of the forward call feature:

  • The LCD screen will show number being forwarded to
  • Top right-hand corner on the LCD screen will show phone icon moving

 

Activate Forward Call Feature Steps:

 

1. Press the Services button which will display the services menu

2. Select the Call Forward All option

3. Press the Select soft key

4. Forward To:

a. Internally: enter the 4 digit extension

b. Externally: Dial your dial out digit (8 or 9) then 1 and the 10 digit number (Example: 8 1 ###-###-####)

5. Press the Submit soft key

Cancel Forward Call Feature Steps:

1. Press the Services button which will display the services menu

2. Select Call Forward All

3. Press the Select soft key

4. Select the Unforward option

5. Press the Select soft key

Note: The Call Forward All feature can also be programmed online.

Forward all Calls Directly to Voicemail Box:

1. Press the Services button which will display the services menu

2. Select the Call Forward All option

3. Press the Select soft key

4. Enter 1

5. Press the Submit soft key

Cancel Forward Call Feature Steps Voicemail:

1. Press the Services button which will display the services menu

2. Select Call Forward All

3. Press the Select soft key

4. Select the Unforward option

5. Press the Select soft key

Note: The Call Forward All feature can also be programmed online.
