MS Team Admin - Setting Forwards and Masking in Connect

MS Team Admin - Setting Forwards and Masking in Connect

Goal

Assist in setting individual DID masks and forwards in Connect

Forwarding and Masking

CallTower recommends that numbers be forwarded using the Meta Forward DID as outlined here Microsoft - Meta Forward in Connect - CallTower Solutions Center (uc.solutions). If this DID is assigned to a user or uploaded to your tenant you can forward the DID in Connect using the below steps.

  1. Once logged into CallTower Connect, use the menu to locate Sip Trunks. Then locate the sip trunk for your numbers. Usually "CT Cloud SIP (Meta)"

  1. Now locate your Teams trunk. This will either show as Teams or Operator Connect depending on the services provided by CallTower.

Note: Generally Teams customers should use the Caller ID policies in the Microsoft Teams Tenant rather than through CallTower Connect as shown here, especially if using Dynamic e911.

"Anonymous" is not supported through Operator Connect. See Microsoft's article for more information Manage caller ID for users - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn
