Teams Call Queue User - Conference Calling
Summary:
A step-by-step guide to creating a conference call in MS Teams.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
On occasion you will have the need to create a conference call. When engaged in an active call, select the People tab from the call box ribbon, which will open the Participants tray, where you invite someone to join by name or phone number.
Once a participant is entered and selected the system will begin calling the individual.
To remove a participant, for example, if you reach someone’s voicemail, hover over the name in the participant tray, select the ellipsis (...) that appears, and then select ‘Remove from Meeting’ from the options presented.
Note: You can also create a conference call by entering multiple participant names and phone numbers in the Teams Dialer before initiating the call.
You may also create a conference call by merging multiple active calls using the merge functionality hidden behind the More button in the call box ribbon.
The system will present you with a list of calls to select from; make your selection and click ‘Merge Calls.’
The system will pull the separate calls into a conference call.
