How to change the name and number for a caller ID

This article will detail the process for updating the Internal Caller ID on a phone in the Admin Portal.


Log into the Admin Portal and navigate to the phones tab.   
After you have selected the phone you want to change click Manage Phone > Line Properties.

A new window will open on the right side of the screen.  
Select which line you would like to change and click update.
A new section will populate below the selected line. Here you can change the Internal Caller ID.


In the Above Example
Internal Call ID: would display as "John Doe" on the caller ID when a call is made within the company. 
The External ID shows the number of your phone when you make a call. If you choose, you can alter this to show another number within the company.   

Some customers have requested that the caller ID does not show any name or number at all.   Unfortunately, we do not offer the feature to remove the number completely from the Caller ID.   This is simply a drop down menu of the company numbers.
