Cisco - Add a Virtual Phone

Virtual phones are for users that do not have a physical phone assigned to them. This can enable a user to manage DID Forwarding through the User Portal or use Extension Mobility.

When choosing the configuration for your virtual phone select the following options:

  • Device Type: Cisco Phone
  • Device Model: Cisco 8811
  • Device Template: Choose the amount of lines you need. (Will be charged for each line added here.)
  • MAC Address: BDxxxxxxxxxx (Replace the Xs with your 10 digit number.  E.g. BD8003475444)
  • Location: Select the same location as the user to be assigned the virtual phone.
