Cisco Connect Admin - Adjust Number Of Speed Dials
If you have phones that have a space(s) not being utilized with a combination of speed dials and lines, you will need to change the phone template.
Example: If a phone has six buttons and it has a four-line template, then the phone is reserving four lines for calling, leaving two lines for speed dials. The template should be changed to match the number of lines and buttons on the phone. If you want three lines and three speed dials, you will need a three-line template assigned to that specific phone.
- Log on to the Admin Portal.
- Find the phone under the Phone tab.
3. Highlight the phone and go to Phone Properties.
4. Look for New Template and this is where you want to choose a template that meets your needs.
NOTE: Remember that it's lines first and then speed dials. If speed dials isn't mentioned then just know any extra space on your phone will be speed dials.
CT8811 - 1 Line
This will give you 1 line with 4 available speed dials shown on the phone as it's a 5 line phone.
CT8811 - 3 Line
This will give you 3 lines with 2 available speed dials show on the phone as it's a 5 line phone.
CT7960 - 2 Line (1 EXP 7/7)
This will give you 2 lines on the phone then on your expansion car it will give you 7 lines and 7 speed dials.
