Configuring audio devices in Skype for Business

Verify Audio levels

  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Search Sound
  3. Select Sound from the results
  4. Ensure the correct device is enabled on both Playback and Recording tab

  1. Select Ok

Verify device is configured in Skype for Business

  1. Select the Gear icon

  1. Select Audio Device from Left navigation

  1. Make certain the correct audio device is selected
  2. Speak into the microphone and ensure the audio levels are detected 
  3. Press the green  play button ender the Speaker section. A ringing sound should play. 
  4. Make a test call.

Verify audio drivers

  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Select Device Manager
  3. Select Sound, video and game controllers. (HDIC drivers are not compatible with Skype for Business)

  1. Right click on each audio driver and select Update Driver SoftwareCapture.PNG
