Fix Outlook when Cisco Jabber is installed

 

 
Download these files to your computer. DO NOT RUN THEM.
PC Jabber:

PC MSI:

  1. Locate the folder with the downloaded files above
  2. Hold Shift then Right Click from this folder
  3. Select “Open Command Window here”
  4. Copy the following:  msiexec.exe CLEAR=1 /i CiscoJabberSetup.msi CLICK2X=DISABLE
  5. Right click in the Command Window and select paste

a. Follow the install instructions.

  1. ​DO NOT LAUNCH CISCO JABBER YET
  2. REPEAT STEPS 1-6 (You do not need to download the links again).
  3. Now Launch Jabber
  4. Once the install is complete run regedit

a. Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER navigate to the following: Software>IM Providers.

b. Check and make sure DefaultIMApp is Lync. If it says Cisco Jabber, double click DefaultIMApp and set data field to Lync
