Connect Admin Portal: Add phone/device to Cisco user

This article will walk users through the two methods for assigning a cisco phone to an existing user.

 

There are two ways to add a device to a Cisco user:

  1. Assign a device that is already available inventory
  2. Build a device directly to the user

1. Assign an available inventory device to a Cisco user

  1. Log into the Admin Portal and navigate to the Users tab. 
  2. Highlight the user that you want to assign the device to.
  3. Select the drop down “Phones Services”
  4. Select “Manage Phones”
  5. In the Manage Phone area, select “Add Device To User”
  6. In the Add Phone To User area, search/select the MAC which you would like to assign to the user
  7. Double click the MAC you would like to assign to the user
  8. Select an available 911 DID
  9. Click "Add To User"


2. Build a device directly to a Cisco user

  1. Log into the Admin Portal and navigate to the Phones tab. 
  2. Select "Add"
  3. In the Add Phone Wizard area, select the "User Phone" radial
  4. Fill out the Device information. 
  5. Select "Next"
  6. Double click the user this device will be assigned to from the user list
  7. Select an available 911 DID from the drop down (Note: You will only need to select a different 911 DID if the user has more than one phone assigned.)
  8. Select "Update"
  9. Select "Next"
  10. Review the summary page to make sure all of the fields are dispositioned correctly, then select "Finish."
