How to change an Exchange user to a CallManager user in the Admin Portal

This article will walk users through the process of using the Admin Portal to convert their Exchange Users into CallManager users.

Resolution

  1. Once logged into the Admin Portal click on Users and select the desired user.
  2. Click on Directory Services, then Properties.
  3. An additional window appears to the right.  Under the Phone section, select the IP Phone drop down and select the correct phone number, then click Save.
  4. Wait for all functions under Events at the bottom of the screen to show a green checkmark.
  5. Click on Directory Services, then Roles and Types.
  6. An additional window appears to the right.  Select the drop down for User Type and select Voicemail, then Save.
  7. Wait for all functions under Events at the bottom of the screen to show a green checkmark.
  8. Click on Directory Services, then Manage Services.
  9. An additional window appears to the right.  Under Plan verify Voicemail Only and Standalone Voicecube automatically enabled with green icons.
